hi, if anyone can advise how to change the offside front indicator bulb on a 2006 avensis i'd appreciate it. it looks practically impossible from the engine bay. i thought toyota's were supposed to be easy to maintain!

I could not change mine and so I took it to the local garage who could not manage it. I then took to the Toyota dealer which also had trouble changing it. It take 2 people, one to pull/force over washer filler tube while the other pushes his hands in to release the cap and then the bulb

thanks for the reply Roker, i'm beginning to realise its a near impossible job. tried Halfords, the tech could just about get his fingers on the bulb but couldn't grip enough to remove it! his suggestion.... take it to a garage!

if you cannot get it from engine bay, remove the headlight by pulling the the bumper forward, I have posted two videos which should help.

might be worth changing other bulbs in the headlight whilst your there.

Paul they are easy to maintain if you know what your doing. :)

thanks for the reply and the video guide avensisd4d786.

no doubt you have found a method that works but it does seem an excessively time consuming way to change a bulb.

i tried Halfords fitting service and they couldn't do it and then tried my local auto spares shop. the first guy couldn't do it but his mate did it in 5mins using a bent screwdiver, (so it is actually possible to do it in situ), total cost £4. legal anain and happy!

thanks to all who replied.
