2009 2.2D Rav Ad Engine Issue?

Hi all.

Im new on this forum and from South Africa

In the process of buying a 2009 2.2d rav with 91000km and just learnt about this issue.

Please can you help me. Is the 2009 model covered by the extended warranty?

Are 2009 model 2.2d ravs affected or has it been sorted?

If the issue is sorted are the engines reliable and to what mileage are they good for?

Thanx in advance. Im a rep and cant afford to sit with an unreliable vehicle.

For the Rav 4 those affected have a production date between July 2005 and December 2008 - so you need to determine what the production date of your Rav 4 is (which is different to the date the car was first registered)..
