Noisy Suspension

Hi all

My T4 2.0D makes a loud, bang, thudding noise (almost as if the shock absorber is faulty) when it hits a certain type of shallow bump or rut. It has always done this and was last serviced by Mr T in March at 33895 miles.I mentioned this to them but they found nothing. It happens from ALL wheels, whichever one hits the imperfection, even on corners yet the suspension goes over bumps normally and quietly. The car is 5 years old and has only done 34755 miles. It is ruining my experience of a very nice car. Does any one have any ideas bearing in mind Mr t's inspection. Thanks for your interest

Find a stretch of road where you can demonstrate the problem consistently. Then invite the dealer service manager on a test drive.

Hi there mate I've got the same spec car I thought I had the same problem but its normal because of the 17 inch rims and low profile tyres the ride is very hard on these 17 inch rims

thanks for your answers, i have decided to sell the car. pity really because with cream leather and memory seats and steering it is a nice car but the resonance from suspension has finally made my mind up. test drove a vw golf and silence is golden.
