Avensis D4D T3X Wing Mirror Cover

Some low life has pinched the n/s wing mirror cover off my Avensis D4D T3X. I have contacted various breakers and they all quote around £40.00 for a replacement . I will have to buy one reluctantly. My query is, is there a way of securing the replacement to stop the replacement being stolen as well?

Same happened to me .. they snapped the unit off the hinge ... ba***ards ... but I got a perfect match from a breakers (ebay) for £26 delivered... slightly less scratches than my previous one.

about 5min job to change it .. but I can't see anyway to stop it happening again (apart from I keep them folded all times I'm not driving)
