I remember when the Escort Cossies were given to the North Yorkshire police - they looked wicked in white with the stripes....

they've now got scoobs............... - probably got fed up of breaking down all of the time

The best Police car I've seen recently has to be a Smart car down here in Bristol  I nearly wet myself when I saw it!

I reckon they give it to poeple as punishment.

The Esprit was a Norfolk police car.

They don't cost much at all, if anything. There's a great deal of Kudos between the manufacturers to get the police using their models. They're purely promotoional and are paid for by corporate marketing money!

We (Humberside) have two EVO VIIIs and a BMW for the chief. Oh, and rumour has it that we're getting two Focus RS's for a new vehicle crime initiative.

In the past we've had escort cosworths and two scoobies. Both cost too much to maintain but caught a few baddies.

Durham police had a Fireblade and I think they have an R1 too.

Now that's job satisfaction
