Hi all

While I was cleaning my EGR out I decided to leave the induction pipe disconnected and I seemed to have no impact whatsoever? I mean can I leave it off and run my engine safely I wanted to delete EGR completely but guessing this is as good?

Comments plz.

Thanks.

deleting the EGR would probably be an MOT failure if discovered.

Well one person on here's mechanic just tied the vacuum armature on the throttlebody back so it couldn't close and that seemed to sort them out for a while!

I can't find the thread, but I think it did cause the check engine light to come on after a while, but YMMV as they say!

Could you explain more please?

What effect does not having the EGR vacuum hose attached have I didn't notice anything but when it was disconnected I put my finger on the end of it and the engine nearly conked out. Apart from the emissions which I'm not bothered about is there any benefit?

Thanks.
