You know if you use methathle spirit or whatever to clean ya dash board? does it melt the plastic?? Thats what my mum and dad said, but i dont think they hava clue frankly lol

Don't think so.

But there are specialist dash cleaners available that will do the job better.

If you're still unsure, thin it down with water.

no, its just that i got alike a switch which has a sticky back and it keeps peeling off with heat, but i reckon cleaning surface with meths to clean checimals and stuff will help it stick better

rub it on a bit of the dash you cant see easily first.

It should be fine...as would white spirits...to remove grease...and sticky residues etc....but as mentioned if even unsure...test on a hidden area.

Meths should be fine and certainly removes glue, etc. effectively but as Viper 7 already said, test on an unseen area first. Also have a damp sponge ready to clean the area straight after to remove any residue and then wipe over with a dry cloth.

Meths leaves a residue due to the colouring in it. Clear IMS (Industrial meths) is better if you can get it but wiping off with a just damp sponge is the best way to go.
