Some %$(in thief stole bag out of the boot on a works car in salford manchester and my car key was in it for my rolla. So cant drive my rolla so its stuck at office now and gonna cost one thousand to get a new key as they will now have to replace the ECU and imoberliser.

Went on the hunt for it but no look also took sledge hammers with us just in case we found him with bag.

Thieving scum

Can't they code a key to your ECU? I can't believe you have to buy an ECU just cos you lose a key <_<

the dealer will know.. give him your car details and show some identity such as V5 and driving licence and I am sure they can duplicate the key

Also.. get another made as a spare and keep it in your house...

keys usually come with a number on them.. they will simply get the number from the VIN number and duplicate the key..
