Toyota Hybrid Suv?

Noting that Lexus UK are now accepting orders for their NX compact SUV for delivery from October, any chance of a similar Toyota?

Hybrid and petrol versions of the NX will be offered, including a new turbo-charged petrol model.

I understand the NX is largely based on Rav 4 underpinnings, so there is a Toyota version of the NX - the Rav 4.

Not sure whether Europe will see the hybrid version of the Rav 4, if and when it appears. Any hybrid version will probably use the same drivetrain as the hybrid Camry, which has not been used previously for the European market. Also Toyota are supposedly putting the BMW diesels into the Rav 4 - they are due to be using both 1.6 and 2 litre versions - and presumably these diesels will just be for Europe.

Would not be surprised if the hybrid Rav 4 is targeted towards the US, to fit into the range below the Highlander.
