Central Locking

My central locking on my 1999 Avensis GS drivers door and the remote on the key won't lock my car. :o Only unlock. It activates and deactivates the alarm ok. But I have to lock the doors using the switch inside the car, which works ok. Anyone got any ideas? Can anyone help. :help: Cheers guys. Matrix :thumbsup:

I expect it could be a relay or solenoid in the locking mechanism in the drivers door. Try and get one second hand from a breakers as it is an expensive item new. There is a separate thread smoewhere in this forum which dealswith this. Hope this helps.

Did you manage to resolve this problem? If so, what was the cause as I have exactly the same problem.
