Srs Airbag Warning Light ?

Hi all,

Yesterday I changed the front and rear discs & pads n my 2005 avensis t25 estate, whilst taking it for a short spin afterwards I did an emergency stop to ensure the new brakes were OK and not pulling to one side, everything was good. This morning I noticed the srs warning light was flashing, could this be because of the emergency stop ?

If there is a fault can the fault codes be read manually or do l need to have them read at a garage at some rip off price?

Also is there a common reason why this may happen ?

Regards,

Nick.

ps, I've also read suggestions of disconnecting the Battery for a short while, however the last time l had to do that it clears the ECU memory and my fuel consumption was lousy until the memory was rebuilt over about 1500 miles !

I will also check under the seats to ensure the electrics weren't dislodged when doing the emergency stop as l have a sub woofer under there which rolls around a little !

SRS should be the supplemental restraint system (or something like that) so I'd be looking for an airbag plug loose or something rather than anything to do with ABS.
