59 plate gen 3 prius...Sorry but curious how it works.. On a route the other day the sat nav asked me if i wanted to change route because of delay/accident? Surprised it is so quick for info as i assume it aint connecting wifi? Also wondered if you can find out exact location of incident before you decide to re route??

I think it works on traffic announcements and it depends how quick the delay is reported as to how quick you get the detour info.

You probably can get the location of the incident by zooming out on the map.

Have the TomTom TNS410 in the Auris, and driving across Spain last week was warned of an incident 595km ahead - you guessed, by the time I got there - nothing

It's part if the data stream in the RDS (Radio Data System) known as TMC (Traffic Message Channel). Somewhere in the menus will be an option to choose which of the FM radio stations is used to obtain the data.
