Looking For A Used Satnav

I'm on the lookout for a second hand Toyota SatNav for my 2002 Corolla. A TNS300 is the model I'm after. Can anyone recommend a website, shop, or other supplier ( for the right price, obviously!) around £300 - £400.

I have one of these for sale, it has only been fitted to my Rolla for three months, but i think for the DVD system TNS £300 to £400 is going to be a fair bit low, as these are around £1800 from Toyota but I have seen them advertised for £600 upwards. Please take care as there are a lot around with no cables, and these are impossible to obtain as many have found out to their cost.

Best of luck. Herbiern

Thanks Herbiern,

I managed to get hold of one. As you say, I was ambitious hoping to get one for 300-400. It cost me a bit more than that. I haven't received it yet, but let's hope all the cables are there. The guy selling it tells me it is complete, and he appears a genuine sort of chap. He's also sending me full fitting instructions.

If I get stuck, I'm sure that someone on this super forum can help me out!

thanks again

Got my TNS300. Fitted it and it is working great. One thing, is the ETA/TMC feature a hardware part of the computer/reader, or an item of software on the disk? It doesn't seem to be included in my system, and I was wondering if I got a 2004 disk, would it then be available? :help:

Sorry sport,

It went the next day as somebody called asking about sat nav at my local Toyota Garage, didnt like the retail price so took mine. I didnt even know how much it went for as i had suggested £600 but was paid £750 for it. For the DVD version and all the ancillaries I was quoted just under £1500 plus fitting for a new system, so the new owner jumped at the price.

If you can find one at below £600 with all the bits, take it. Do not buy if it is incomplete, numerous others have found out, getting the cabeling and other parts are impossible from Toyota. I have even tried to help one person out by taking photos of it before installing mine, as he had been landed with that problem, and that was too difficult.

Good luck in your hunt, they are great to use, and you can't beat the director no matter how hard you try.

Cheers, Herbie
