Would anyone know or, at least, point me in the right direction.

I have a 1994 2.0GTi, cabrio. Jap Import ( Auto ). I am trying to put it back to how it was when new. Can anyone advise what wheels are likely to have been on the machine at the start? There are some rather crabby 17" Ace alloys on at the moment. They may have been original... they are manky enough... but somehow I doubt it. Having taken one off... there appears to be some kind of spacer between the back of the wheel and the hub. Is that normal ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
