Probably the Discovery Sport - which will be the replacement for the Freelander.

This type of colour scheme helps disguise things like the shut lines, window lines, frontal treatment, doors, etc, and is now commonly used by manufacturers for prototypes or pre-production models. It breaks the shape up and makes it harder to envisage what the finished item may look like. Living in Birmingham, I've seen quite a few over the years, especially from Jaguar/Landrover, including versions of the Evoque and the current Range Rover Sports.

Back in the 80's, before this type of disguising came in, and before the Maestro was launched, BL had several VW Jettas with the A-series engine and the VW gearbox they originally used running about. You could distinguish these from 'proper' VW's by the massive bulge in the bonnet used to accommodate the height of the A-series engine.

Also used to see the Jaguar XJ40 prototypes and pre-production cars knocking about.

If you ever go to Millbrook you will see dozens of these pre production models and they all have that disguise

Fantastic place to drive around, on a banked track and they also do off road too

The place is always full of sporty Police cars being put through their paces too!
