Deleting Stored Abs Fault Codes From Memory By Pedal Presses.

Hi All,

I found a way to remove the stored ABS fault codes, use the jumper wire method in the diagnostic socket.

I was checking another fault on the EML, and the ABS light also flashed a couple of codes that were stored in memory. I remembered that my car had been in for a transmission fix, and earlier I had the front wheels up spinning to detect a wheel bearing issue. This causes the ABS warning to illuminate.

Press the brake pedal 8 times within 3 seconds and the ABS light changes from flashing the stored code to constant flashing. This means that the memory has cleared.

I found the info when searching for a way to remove the stored memory from a PDF related to older Toyotas.

Thanks Pete,

I was out today, at the Bromley Pageant of Motoring. What a great day with hot sunny weather.

Last week I was at Brighton for the classic car run, and a few weeks before that, the Mini London to Brighton run.

I am only posting the Toyota cars, and when there are over 1200 pictures combined, very long days out.

Anyway young Omar is beginning to out do me.

Now where is that Rubik's cube! :hammer:

Cheers mate glad you have a sense of humour, did you enter your one then.

That looked like a great day out, better than a mate who did the 100k charity walk from Brighton not long back.

Take care mate,

Pete.

What enter my old Avensis, Pete?

No mate, I just love seeing custom and restored cars, and apprecriate the hard work that goes into them.

100k charity walk! Your mate must be aching. I did the London to Brighton bike ride 3 years ago. Much easier.

I am always up for a laugh. :D
