Corolla Verso

hi, i have recently purchased a corolla verso 1.8 petrol after trading in my ford focus 1.6 tdci which gave me no end of problems.

just wanted to ask if anybody knows if the my car has a egr valve and the location in the engine bay.

also ive tried searching for a haynes manual but cannot find one, only ones for corolla come up

point me in the right direction please, all help much appreciated.

Moved to the Verso club. Haynes don't do a manual for the Corolla Verso.

It has the same engine as the 1.8VVTi Corolla tho' so the Haynes manual for that might work!

I don't think the earlier 1.8VVTi has an EGR valve, but later ones might as, I'm told, the 1.8 in the HSD has an EGR for reasons I don't understand. (EGR is an emissions control system to reduce NOx, which is only really a problem with diesel engines so I never understood why you'd need one on a petrol engine, given all the bad things it does to the engine!)
