I've got a Mark 1 Yaris SRI. Currently on about 330,000 miles. I think the gearbox has just gone (literally today) and I'm not sure if I'll be able to source a replacement. Still, she doesn't owe me. "Well done thou good and faithful servant".

Fantastic mileage! Yes you can still get gearboxes from breakers.

When we talk Toyota, mileage less than 200k is counted for a low miles 🤣👌🚗

I've just passed my 52 plate D4D to my sister. It's gone from father to son (me) and now sister and it's never broken down or failed to start first time and has never failed an MOT on anything other than Wiper Blades or foggy headlights. It's now got 108k on it and ready to go for another decade.

I do love the Mk1 D4Ds - IMHO some of the best cars Toyota ever made! As long as it gets regular oil changes, it'll basically run forever! It was made before all the emissions control gear that's on modern diesels killed the reliability, but also has modern diesel tech like common rail injection, so it's got nearly the reliability of an old diesel with nearly the performance of a new one! Best of both worlds!

If it wasn't for that scumbag Sadiq Khan I'd still have mine... :crybaby:

2 Days until his ULEZocalypse begins!

245,000 2010 sedan - no repairs, no defects - regular maintenance items tires, belts, brakes - replaced alternator at 200k preventatively

no rust (garaged) still drives smooth, tight - minor exhaust manifold leak

Toyota Yaris 1.3L VVT-I 2004 Petrol Just passed her MOT yesterday with 148,920k miles and still going strong. Never let me down at all. Has regular services on time, and various bits done in my 4 year ownership. I love my Yaris 😁

425k km's ~264k miles. 09 D4D and now the DPF needs to be replaced 🙂

Most likely has been replaced earlier as I haven't owned the car from new.
