'owdo folks -

newbie here, been lurking for a while and have decided to join after recently picking up my new (to me) car, it's a 2005 corolla t-sport in alsace granite - it's an ex police car I am the second owner after them, and got it with a full service history. Car also had 4 brand new goodyears and new brakes all round before I bought it so that's two jobs off the list!!

Totally standard, and I intend to keep it like that apart from a few "comfort" mods internally - namely my head unit (already fitted, a pioneer double din with integrated parrot bluetooth) and a custom fibreglass sub enclosure (made plenty for other cars in the past so not too difficult, just need time now!!) I'm also having the usual trouble with the factory TVSS, already had 3 "falsies" so far this week and it wasn't the bonnet sensor so enough is enough and i'm going to throw a toad AI606 on it this weekend and completely bypass the factory, i'm not a big fan of transponders anyway as the main stealer has you by the clockweights if you need another key cutting and coding (rang my local Mr T. yesterday and was quoted "about" £120 for a new coded key) Alarm install not a problem, as I used to do it for a living so no problems there, still have contacts in the trade so I can get the install validated

Interior is REALLY grubby, them police bods are a bunch of filthy buggers so it needs a right good clean, especially the seats, so that's another job for this weekend with the wet 'n' dry vac

I will also be getting the car converted to LPG, as I do a few miles here and thereabouts - to this end I have done my homework, and the maths, and spoken to other "convertees" and the installer so it's all good to go

Welcome :)

I bet it has racked up a load of miles with the men in black too - but at least they're normally serviced well. Is it actually worth converting for the cash outlay versus the gain in cost to run ? Just a thought given that it's not a spring chicken any more .....
