does anyone know if you have to buy Toyota alloys to keep up warranty, and also if it would affect your mpg, as there is quite a difference in price, I have the T4

One can choose to go with after-market alloy wheels, and those may be covered by a manufacturers warranty. Only effect on fuel consumption would be due to either having a different size of wheel/tyre combination or there being a difference in weight.

Before you purchase any new wheels, check with your insurance company as to whether they will accept the new wheels/tyres as a modification, and if they do, whether there will be any additional premium payable.

For example another member who was insured through Toyota Insurance, found that a deviation from the standard specification was not accepted.
