Latest Shape Mr2 0-60 Mph

Toyota quote 8 secs to 60, is this correct or have owners of these cars found them quicker or slower?

The SMT is about that .. the manual is about 7 from what I've heard ..

The facelifted (with 6speed gearbox) mk3 MR2 does have a 0-60 in 8.0 seconds (Toyota's figures).

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the SMT version is 8.2+.

Also I'm sure that the pre-facelifted (5speed) version did it in 7.something.

Toyota's UK site is rubbish now, they used to have the full specs but not anymore :(
