Hello, my cig lighter stopped working, so I decided to change the fuse as it seemed like the first place to start. The book said it was at #9 and it required an ampere of 15 A, but there was a 10 A in the slot. Following the manual, I changed it to a 15 A, however I learned about 45 minutes later the book was incorrect and I should have changed fuse #23 per the panel on the fuse area. I quickly removed the incorrect fuse and I put back in a 10A.

However, after I changed #23, I noticed that now the radio, and side mirrors stopped working (and the MAIN BODY ECU). The radio, main body ecu and side mirrors are controlled by fuse ACC #24. I put in a new 7.5 A in fuse #24 and the radio and mirrors do not work.

Help? I no not know what to do next? I need my mirrors and my radio.

You'll have to check all those fuses that you've been changing around. There's (usually) a legend on the inside of the fusebox lid that tells you what fuse does what. Since there's more than one fusebox in a car these days, you should use the legend on the lid *and* the manual together to determine what fuses you need to check. Bear in mind that some units on a car can need current from more than one fuse...just one blown fuse can cause all sorts of strange effects.

Oh yes, work on one fault at a time otherwise you'll get in a mess and don't assume that a brand new fuse is a good one...

I have a 2007 corolla radio, side mirror, and cig lighter doesn't work. I have checked the fuses and they look fine. Could it be a relay?

Doubtful that there'd be one relay to control specifically those things. You *did* check the right fuse? Look in the fusebox under the dash rather than the one under the bonnet. If it's not a fuse, that only leaves faulty wiring or a bad earth...

By the way, 7.5A seems very low for a combined fuse feeding power mirrors/radio/ecu. You might want to double check that. It may well have blown the first time you switched anything on...

Hi bobbi i have a toyota corolla verso 2.2 d4d and my mirrors/ radio /cig lighters  back and front just suddenly stopped working took my car to toyota and they said they couldn't find the problem straight away and it would cost me£400 to investigate but they said the problem is with the wiring it could be a dry connection or  another problem i was told everything in my 2006 verso has its own wiring circuit  so its a major problem for me so every circuit needs to be checked according to toyota i am not sure what is causing this problem they put a diagnostics tool on my car and told me that there is to fuses for the radio and fuse 1 is working and fuse two has no power on it there is so much wiring on these cars so auto electrician i think
