I have a electric promblem with my `98 avensis. When i shutdown the car, and take the key of the headlights start flashing or just stays on. Many relays flicking also under the hood. these all problems disappear, if i turn the wipers on to the maximum speed. So please tell me where is the problem??

Hi, Welcome to the club... Enjoy :driving:

Do the wipers work okay as it sounds like a faulty relay or wire grounding giving intermittent issues.

These problems appear only when the power is off, when its on, all the car doing just fine, lights are ok, even the wipers act normally. I forget to say that the blower also keeps on without the power if the wipers isnt to maximum speed. I dont no where to start to find what cause this. Relays of light and blower are changed.

I agree with Raistlin.

You may have bad earth (ground) or a faulty relay. Check all the ground straps. Pull out relays and fuses to see if the problem stops. Take photos of where the belong, even though they should be clearly marked.

Another possibility is a short circuit. The ignition switch could be faulty or the wiper switch. Anything is possible.

I would find an auto electrician.
