Replacing Fog Light Bulbs And Dismantling Car?

Hello
New here, but thought this was the place to ask.

I have a Toyota Avensis D4D 2.0 2004 (Norwegian/European model), where i need to change the fog lights, and in the instruction book it says that i have to take off two small covers underneath the car in order to get to the lights.

The thing is, when i checked under the car, i could not find this cover.

I might have overlooked it, but there were no pins i could just "pop" out, everything was screwed in place, so i had to do some dismantling in order to get to the light.

Got the first light changed, and now i really can't get the covers to sit as tight as it did (it looks just the same as on the other side, and im unable to attach the last screw, it just falls out).

i have the model with the HB4 fog lights (lights in an angled socket).

what could be the problem? i don't want all that plastic to suddenly fall off during driving.
