4.2 D4D N/s Sidelight Wire?

Hi all, going to try and fit some 'Phillips Daylight 4' running lights tomorrow (Sun 22nd) It states in the manual that I must scotchlock a wire from the control box to the live side-light wire!

Is there an easy way to identify this wire...colour..etc with an easy access point/location?

I dont really want to start messing with volt meters..etc

TIA...Steve

Where will the control box be located?

Where will the control box be located?

On the left hand side...probably going to stick it to the plastic fuse box lid or stuck to the inner wing? To be honest I hav'nt decided that yet.... I don't think the + & - leads from the control box to the Battery are that long so the control box may have to go up nearer the Battery? There is an orange lead that is a fair length from the control box and this is the one that you 'scotchlock' to the side-light wire!

Join the wires near the sidelight. There are 2 wires at the sidelight connector - you need the positive. Identify with a voltmeter or a simple test bulb. One terminal of the bulb is connected to earth. With the sidelights switched on, touch the other terminal of the test bulb to the sidelight connector terminals in turn. When the bulb illuminates - you've found the positive supply.

Hi all, fitted the Phillips Daylight 4 DRL's today with no problems at all and to be honest they look great? I drove behind the wifes C3 for a while in bright sunshine and she reports that they make a big difference in you being visible so no 'gimmick' at all!

I was going to take photo's or even video the fitting and testing of the DRL's for youtube...etc but to be honest there was not much interest shown in my original post so I didn't bother!
