VIGO 3.0

Hi guys.Rookie here with TOYOTA but not in 4x4. I used to own a couple of Isuzus 4x4 for the last 10 years or so and the time has come for a new 4x4.I always had a thing for the Hiluxes but never had any experience with them.My situation is this, i am driving on highways @ 120km/h for a distance of 150km every day. I use my 4x4 for 4-5 months a year for hunting excursions and i love offroading too. i want a car that can combine all these :). I am looking for a used one 2007 model and newer.so here are a few questions for you

1)Which one is the better between a 2.5 or a 3.0 Vigo model in respect to my needs, meaning fueal efficient and maintenance?

2)What should i go ahead and replace as soon as i get it in respect of maintenance?

3)Do you have an other model in mind that would suit my needs?

Cheers

Alex

Hi Uncle :)...I dont consider the RAV4 for several reasons...2 door(i already have the TROOPER 3.2V6 2 DOOR that i am selling)...petrol...old model...not very good reviews and experience from others...gas guzzler

Update...today i drove the 2007 L200 warrior (auto) on highway @ 110km/h for 70km.It burnt almost 12 litres of diesel...tomorrow i am test driving a 2007 Vigo 3.0 (manual) for comparison...will i get a similar reading????

If your figures are correct there's something vastly wrong with that car - MPG in the high teens is extremely poor ! A Hi-Lux under similar conditions can return 30 MPG for a manual or high 20's for an auto. I would've thought even a 3.0 manual would manage mid-20's ......
