i have problems with my avensis verso 03

acceleration is abnormal, between 2500 3500

34(2) is turbo?

when MIl capture the DTV code

3400 rpm

MAP 243

common rail pressure 105

Accel position 75%

I think the Map should be 197-219 and common rail pressure 124/134

Do you think the problem is the turbo ?

the car has increased fuel consumption.

et it's higher and higher.

An idea please?

Have had a similar problem twice. First time it was the supermarket fuel that had clogged the fuel system, used a product from Powerenhancer to clear the system which it did in approx. 100mls and started using "Shell" fuel only.It has now been reported in The Advanced Driver's magizine that supermarkets are now using an additive to combat the effects of bio diesel, which was the cause of contamination

Second time it proved to be the "Suction Control Valves", which again when replaced solved the power loss issue. The valves can be obtained on eBay or through PartsKing. There are Youtube videos showing how to fit these valves

tried cleaning the EGR valve? ..... it had an amazing impact on performance... and fuel economy.

30min job... can of carb cleaner .... lots of mess!!!

Do you think SCV could be the cause?

Could be, check fuel filter first. SCV symptons are power loss over 3000rpm and engine management light displayed, although not on start up, .Car will build up speed though and it seems like the turbo has failed. In my case the fault code was shown as a fuel problem. The car will start fine and tick over, just will not accelerate over 3000rpm
