Hi Folks just joined the forum today, thought it might be useful to pick up few hints or tips Im from Northern Ireland and new to Toyotas.

Last week i picked up a 2002 RAV 4 NRG, average miles, paid just less than £1,800 for wee car and im loving it, dead easy on fuel, fun to drive, go anywhere and it is a lovely clean car. Only gripe - hot engine start got to give it three to five attempts before it will fire up, starter motor is turning ok, Battery sound.... Saw few posts problem could be due to a fuel temperature sensor messing about. And to be honest if i let the car sit for 10 minutes after stopping it goes first turn of the key. so not really much of a problem yet but hope to get it sorted soon,

Only problem is im driving the that much i dont want to leave it into the garage. Defo gotta say i have never enjoyed driving a car as much. Im a biker and love the open road, but my poor 600cc yamaha is parked up in the garage...

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Do you know what an OBD11 reader is and where it plugs into the car as it takes a lot of the guess work out of what may be wrong with a car by storing fault codes......here's an example.....
