1) Love the speed it accelerates at for a 1.0L, the handling, the dashboard being digital

2) Not into heavy mods, but have just added a Richbrook Tax Disc which looks very niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Good things about my car:

Its a beautiful colour

1.3 engine is nippy and suits my needs just fine

Great extras (love the alloys, fogs and a/c!)

Lovely to drive

Eye-catching, everyone loves my car!

Digital Holographic Display is v nice!

Great ecomony, cheap tax and insurance! Yay!!

Bad things about my car:

Plastic interior could be nicer!

Difficult to slide passenger seat

No leather seats! Material used could be a lot nicer inside!

No alarm (getting one fitted though! :D )

All in all the positives outway the negatives though and I love my car to bits - wouldnt swap her for anything! :D

Going to Visteon in Swansea next week for an interview. They supply the "inside" of the yaris.

Gonna grill them (well, perhaps) why the yaris has poor plastics inside, when compared to other vehicles in the class (expect the micra, thats AWEFUL inside)

If you ever get in one, look at the white knobs inside, they are like off mayo colour,

:crybaby:

ask them if they can replace mine, coz mine has been sratched so easily and has got loads of white marks all over it.

And grill them to give us the din convertor thingie for £20 if ya do, buy one and i will give you the money for it :)

good:

economy - seemingly doesn't require petrol to run (1.0l)

once it's moving it's suprisingly nippy for the engine size

nice exterior lines (european designer, wouldn't find a jap designer making a car this nice, look what the !Removed! did to the yaris verso!!!)

I like the way it feels to drive, maybe not the most responsive but there is a 'connection' whilst driving - you feel involved to an extent

bad:

cheap interior beginning to look dated - typical japanese

digi dial not as good as the t-sports clocks

shockingly bad suspension on the 1.0l, looks like a 4x4

steering too light

stone chips very easily

Regards the gear change... I like it, don't force the gear change... if you want to drive 'quickly' you have to remain relaxed and change gear smoothly, almost with 1 finger... time it right and you'll be a faster driver through the gears.

If it crunches, you're being too rough with it!

Another plus point, there's not alot of roybacers with these cars, although they seem to be sharply on the increase.. even within TOC! :P

I cud be classed as one ov those!!! I have replaced the dull and heavy grey gear knob with a light plastic gear knob - chrome and black!! Much more comfortable and easier to shift gear sumhow  but thats good :D

I think it depends on the cars you have had before aswell though....

Like my Karis is 10 million times better in everyway than my previous car (Daewoo Matiz!)

I loved my ickle Matiz but now I have my Yaris I know how terrible that car was - it was a great first car but the gears were awful, you had to ram it in to change gear and it had a diddy 800cc engine so my 1.3 Yaris is like a Ferrari compared to that! :D :D

Hi folks!

In no particular order...

Good:-

Dirt cheap to run

Cruises well

Comfortable

Good looking

"Space Invaders" instrument cluster

Storage throughout

Bad:-

Invisible to other drivers

That "darned" passenger seat (again...!)

No intermittent rear wipe

Um.

Er.....

Cheers,

Alan
