Can A Tns510 Be Fitted Into A 2005 T Sport?

Hi Guys

I have got my hands on a TNS510 multimedia sat nav unit from a Hilux and came with the GBS antenna and the SD card from 2010/11.

I've read a lot of conflicting info in other forums relating to how good (or bad) this unit is but as it's a vast improvement on the standard CD/Radio fitted into most of the later Gen 7 Celicas I thought (rightly or wrongly) I'd give it a go.

As it is the same fitment to what is already in I can assume that fitment is the easy part. What I need to know is whether the current wiring loom in the Celly is built to take this unit. Is there spare plugs that will take an extra loom (or two) from the unit and are these extension looms available from Toyota (or another cheaper source)?

If this is not the case will it be a build it yourself (BIY) loom, custom made using the TNS loom and a very good wiring diagram.

Any advice would be most welcome and if the worst comes to the worst I will sell it again.

Had a look at that site last night. I can see the instructions for Avensis's and a few others but not the Celica, they have older units which seem to need the hacking and splicing in. I think Toyota can supply the short extension looms but whether they will plug directly into the current loom I've no idea.
