He hit an old Peugout 405 which pulled out in front of him when doing 60mph....

Luckily all he got was a bit of bruising from the seatbelt and shock, he's ok....

The 405 buckled considerably and started to look like an L shape...

Everyone in the other car was OK aswell although the fourth person had a bit of difficulty getting out where the passenger seat behind the drivers seat was pushed forward.

GUy pulled out right in front don't know whether he wasn't looking or what ....

Flappin heck,

Goes to show how strong the car is to survive an impact at 60mph - did it blow the airbags - would the result have been different if it had / didn't have them?

Only Airbag was the driver.....

There were no aitbags fitted to the car, prolly wouldn't have made too much difference as the driver only got bruising from the seatbelt anyway.

His Court Case for drink driving has been adjourned for another two weeks so can't say what he's got yet..

Wish your brother all the luck as he is going to need it. A friend of mine was nicked 2 years ago for drink driving and speeding on the motorway. Doing 115mph in a Renault 5 gt turbo. And he got 18 months ban and 6 points. Now thats bad news if you are a postman and you have got to get up early each morning.

Lucky for him the post office kept him on. He had to working in the sorting office. Also he done a driving correction coubik which the local police made him do if he wanted to get his license back a few months earlier.

So if i was your brother i would do that course if they offer it to him.

I was looking through some old files clearing down another computer and found some more crsh pics...

This car was an very modified Mk1 MR 2 Supercharger belonging to Lauren "The Trackday Queen" from IMOC and happened on the way to a show where the car was supposed to be on the stand atthe NEC, noone was hurt but another shining example of just how safe the MR2 really is...

They say the safest way to crash is head on so if you can't avoid something....

After the car was towed it looked a little like this...

And the owner and car.....

Most of the parts are being transfered into another Shell as it was a very powerful Mk1 and was a shining example.....

Probabaly good that it is a mid engined car.. that pocket at the front probably took the impact....

Normally the engine makes more damage.. ie not being able to get your legs out!

OK thought I'd let you guys know the outcome...

My brother has just got out of court from the drink driving accident charge...

For the crash and having a blood result of 194 (80 limit) the penalty was...

Loss of license for 24 months (18 if he does the d&d course) and a penalty of £250, he got off very lightly....
