Dpf / Catalyc Converter Version

I figured out in toyota service manuals that Auris was made with DPF or CCO (probably Catalyc converter)

Does it mean that CCo version does not have DPF?

What could happen if the ECU or ECU firmware from CCO version will be used on car with removed DPF? Could this work?

Toyota used some of the technology from its DCAT engines for the 1AD-FTV engine, before it was fitted with a DPF.

In the UK a vehicle which was originally fitted with a DPF, and found to have had the DPF removed, would fail its MOT test (the annual test of roadworthiness).

Technicaly, Im a bit confused about it.

D-CAT is desribed as exhaust filtration with DPF. In service manuals they mentioned only 3 types for Auris. CCo, DPF, DNPR.

DNPR is used with 2,2 D4D only and offering less PM in combination with reduction NOx

It seems CCo types does not have any DPF.

Auris with CCo have desribed different injectors (marked as 81kw by Denso) which can be found in the 81kw 1AD-FTV Avensis and Corolla. But the weird thing is that only 93kw Auris is available

edit: Found the combination CCo + DPF or DNPR. Probably D-CAT?

In the UK Auris was equipped as follows:

1ADFTV 2.0d4d - CCo catalyst

2ADFHV 2.2d4d - CCo & DPNR ( D-cat )

On the continent there were additional versions depending on market and model year:

1ADFTV - 2.0d4d CCo catalyst

1ADFTV - 2.0d4d CCo & DPF

2ADFHV - 2.2d4d CC0 & DPNR ( D-cat )

Generally speaking:

Up to late 2010 2.0d4d engined cars had CCo ( Catalytic converter oxidising )

From late 2010 2.0d4d gained DPF ( Diesel particulate filter ) along with a CCo, the same applied to 2.2 2ADFTV with manual gearbox.

2.2d4d 180bhp 2ADFHV & 2.2d4d 2ADFTV Auto gearbox cars where always fitted with CCo & DPNR ( Diesel particulate NOx reduction ) D-cat filter

Okay, presonally I have 1ADFTV - 2.0d4d CCo & DPF year 2007, but my car is from Germany.

Just one another thing. In case of CCo version there are 2 CCo's? When Im checking toyodiy, it seems first CCo is on the mainfold (instead of DPF) a and another one is right after.
