Just picked my new Auris Icon+ and reviewing the features that it should have on it. I can't seem to figure out the following:

- Fuel cap, remote release: Is this the lever on the floor next to the driver seat, or is there meant to be a button on my key fob

- Follow me home headlamps: I haven't seen these work yet...Do these only work in the dark?

- Hill Start Assist: I'm not sure how this works either. I have quite a steep drive and it always rolls down if I don't accelerate.

Any help on the above would be much appreciated

Thanks

Ritz.

Hello Ritesh - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

The lever down by the floor is your fuel flap release.

Hill-start Assist Control - see http://blog.toyota.co.uk/toyota-car-safety-stability-control-technologies#hillstartAssistControl

There is no substitute for browsing through the Owners Manual though.

Follow me home headlamps: - When parked and ignition is off pull the headlight switch as though you are flashing at someone, the headlights will come on and stay on for 1 minute.

Hill Start Assist: Whilst stationary and in gear with the parking brake off, when you are ready to pull away press the brake pedal down hard the car will beep an orange lamp will illuminate and the car will hold on the brake for 3 seconds in this time switch to the throttle and accelerate the brake will release and you will pull away.

Thanks Mike - Just looking at the manual scares me a bit - but you're right, that should have been my first port of call.

Thanks Lee - saved me from looking in the manual... :D

Think that's one of the challenges with a new car
