Bear in mind unless the 17's + tyres are lighter than your current wheels, then you will notice a decrease in performance.

I don't know how much by, but my m8s £1000 17's made his car struggle to reach 120, with the original 15's it does 135 happilly - needless to say they now live piled up in his garage. Also your acceleration will decrease.

Wheels are really for looks, if you wanted performance you'd have to go for superlight 15inches.

Just something to think about.

or super light alloy wheels but then your lookin at 600quid a rim!

hmmm thanks guys, its still driving me nutty , might just deck it on the STD rims see how it looks feels then move on from there and decide on the size

i think you should go for 16"s as a compromise ,17"s do look the biz but you might regret it in the long run after spending decent money on various mods ,the car will be sat on wheels to big for it to handle properly.

People have always said the same things about putting 13" rims on a mini, looks the part but !Removed! up the whole geometry of the car>>>!!!!!!!

its personal choice i know and im old so what do i know :lol:

Yes this is a good shop for performance tuning mate. I always go down and have a look at there wheels section. I also have brought my wifes tyres and mine from them as well. They have a very good fitting bay as well and they work really speedy.

You should checkout there ice section as well really good. And while you are waiting for your parts to be fitted you can have a cappuccino and sit down and have a go on the PS2

You got that muffler taken off your exhaust yet m8 ;)

But he's right ya know... the Yaris was designed for 15 inch wheels. Then again, Jaxx can prolly tell us how well it handles... or did :o But again, thats with like a 60mm drop.

Its all what you want to go for. Personally I'd rather go for performace. The car looks damn smart as it is. A nice set of coilovers over new alloys anyday.

Yeah this is what im thinking too, 16's will still look lush when the car is decked (probably look like 17's anyhow cos of the rim ive picked) and the rolling radius will still be pretty much the same as my 15's if i get a 40 profile.

thanks for all your view's and opinions guys its been rally helpfull

It's going to look cool anyway. I think my car looks cool with just a 30mm drop. Imagine how yours is going to look with a 50 - 60mm drop :drool:

R-tec are really good, if you ask them nicely they will put the alloys on little stands in front of the wheels on your car so you can get a better idea of what they look like, really helpful and they know what they're doing.

Have you thought of getting a set of matrix torque's? would suit the car and colour IMO.
