Rev 2 Boost Problem?

Mate of mine went to test drive a car and he relly likes it...

Problem being is that when he floored the throttle.. he gets a judder from the car at 5k rpm... when he increased the boost gently it goes fine right the way to red line!

Is this the fuel cut kickin in?

The turbo gauge hits mat boost at about 4k rpm...

Any help will be much appreciated as i aint an expert...

Cheers

yeah...i've experience that too.... i think i heard the wastegate letting air out, but very unsmooth...something like fut.fut..fut..fut... maybe is the limiting boost....

what fuels he using? this is a common prob at 5krpm if hes using low octane fuel. Also a VERY likely source of problem is the ignition leads and dizzy cap, tell him to sort em out and he'll be fine. I'm experieincing the same things when im using crap fuel

I'm using 97octane super unleaded(very hard to get optimax in my area)....and had changed the dizzy, rotot yesterday.... I'm still experiencing the problem...

But does remind me that it didn't happen when i use Optimax....hmm... maybe I didn't push hard enough or what?

any "fluffyness" is usually due to the eletrics ..

But mine was down to my G-valve needing a clean ..

yip.. change dizzy, rotor and leads.. all should be fine.

Agree'd.....when my leads were %$(ed if I floored it It would shudder like mad but normal slower exceleration was fine.
