I spent 6 hours on her today, I swapped rear bumper skins because my old one was damaged from an idiot in a F**D Escort, new skin fits amazingly just need polishing.

I painted the rev3 centre panel Jimlad sent me.. and also wired and fitted my BRAND NEW BLACK CHROME LEXUS REARS!

They look really good. I'll post pics of her all put back together tomorrow.

I take it that the painting went well then?

BTW isn't it nice to think that the automatic censorship feature on the forums identifies F O R D as an obscenity :P

Jappy sent me a piccy to my mobile... does look good. Hope he posts some proper pictures soon.

Why have you got your car jacked up mate ?? Or at least I hope it's jacked up. Massive space between the wheel/arch.. lol.

When you getting bigger wheels ? Those buggers look like lego wheels.. lol

LOL! Yes I had to jack her up to get the rear bumper skin off.

I'm thinking I saved hundreds by doing this myself and I'm well pleased with the result.

Yes I know my wheels are well small! but getting Charlenes very soon!

Anyway.. here is my baby back together, the rear bumper is only half polished tho.. (its hard work on the hands).

I decided not to polish the rear centre panel.. I like the Matt look and it sorta keeps it in line with the rev1 look.

Cheers boro for the painting guide (I even printed it out) and a big up to Jimlad who saved my life and sent me the centre panel.. cant live without reverse lights.

Its the first time Charlene has seen my lights on tonight and she likes them.

Everyone who has seen my car says these lights, and the panel make the rear end look very up to date, dragging my rev1 into the 21st century!

Roll on Border nose, 17's and getting my skirts fitted.

Waiting for jimlad to pipe up!

I got quoted silly money to get my car looking well again and I did it in an afternoon, spending only £15 on paint and paper. She still has a few bits that need touching up tho.

You can tell that the summer makes you want to sort your car out.. cant wait forthe shows!

I just extended the wires from the existing reverse lights... the hardest part was bashing the bodywork to get the clusters for the reverse lamps to fit... it was a bit scary but all came together at the end.

I think the car looks much newer now.
