no, a freind asked me to take the day off work and go down, so the sheffield one will be the same then?

Police dont bother turning up, cos theres no lunatic driving... you just park up and admire each others car, and chat...

And i knew no-one at my first LOC/TOC meet vmail (had only been on the forums a couple of weeks) and everyone was really friendly, I had a great time...

I get to every meet i can make now, and keep meeting new people

Trust me, you wont regret it..

No, most of us are normal people, all from different walks of life...

Its no different than walking into a bar, a vareity of people.. some you have a lot in common with, some not so much.. but everyone is friendly... and surprisingly similar to their 'online' persona..

Thats a great thing about TOC/LOC, people on here are themselves, and unlike other forums, dont make themselves out to be something there not...

Funny story for you vmail... I went to Gaydon this year, walked up to a few people near Yari and IS200's that i didnt know, said 'hi', introduced myself as Ian, chatted for a short while... then the 'forum name' came up...

The moment I said fidgits, it seemed whoever i was talking suddenly got a sly smile on their face... but they were all still nice and friendly... And thats it really, were all here because we are car enthusiasts, so we already have something in common.. we occasionally have disagreements, but meets are just a chance to see the cars and people 'in the flesh' so to speak...

Its a good social occasion, and much better than a 'cruise' could ever be....

I'm dying to go to a meet, but my car is sooo poorly at the mo, (I have even had to put steel wheels and hub-caps on (long story), envolving a process of problem elimination)

But when/IF its better I'm gonna come to a TOC meet and meet you guys!!!(but JAE is looking doubtfull :o)
