2007 Aygo Black - Engine Problem?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hello everyone :D – new member here who is having a problem with a 2007 Aygo Black.

Driving along at a normal speed the engine does not run smooth. When I press the accelerator or brake it feels like the engine wants to cut out, but it never does. I don't think the engine is misfiring, because if revved whilst standing idle and/or ticking over there is no problem at all. The problem appears to be worse under braking, almost like a jolting feeling.

My car has been serviced by Toyota every year but one, with the last Toyota service being carried out in April. As an aside, my local garage fitted a new Battery for me about six weeks ago. Whether it is a coincidence or not, this problem only seems to have started after the new Battery was fitted. (not sure if there is a connection here, but thought I should mention)

I am going book my car in with Mr. T, but would be very grateful if somebody could kindly give me a heads up on what this could possibly be? (so I can have an idea of what I am dealing with. :help2: )

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
