Are there bolt on turbo kits for non turbo engines. If so, where could i get my hands on one for my EE90R (looks 99% like an AE92 liftback), running on a 2E or 2E-E engine (not exactly sure about the -E).

Thanks. ;)

Blitz might have one or TRD has a bolt turbo from Japan.

Alloroc!

I went o Blitz and found these:

*PROFESSIONAL KIT

*TURBO CONVERSION

*SUPERCHARGER CONVERSION

*K1 TURBO UPGRADE

The one that seemed to make most sense to my need was Turbo Conversion, but its says 'A full turbo conversion package is available for two Toyota models, the Levin AE111 and Altezza SXE10.'

Help please (don't laugh if i say something silly, but i'm new to messing with car's engines other then servising and repairing).

hi, i've had corolla gtis for the last three years, i've just started modding it, ive fitted a K&N induction kit( sound well good) and performance spark plugs. i also had a custom made twin DTM Exhaust, that too sound PHAT. anyway, what other engine mods are there to give me more power, i'm fairly new to the modding scene, and dont actually know that much anout cars.

i have looked up on a fensport supercharger but really have my heart set on a turbo. where can i get one, and how much will it cost? will this give me a drastic improvement in power? is this ggod for my engine?

i have a 91' corolla AE92. any information will be a great help.

thanks.

P.S where are you guys from i.e UK?

Hi, i don't think i have the knowldge to help you much, but you might be able to help me.

First of all, how much was the induction kit, and do you think it fits on my corolla? (It looks like the ae92 liftback, but is a EE90R same body, 2E engine).

Also, the spark plugs, what make are you using and what do they promise to do better?

What other generic mods did you do?

Thanks

P.S. I am from Malta, there are pics of my car in the photo gallery, page 16, and 17 ;)

NDR008 you cant fit an 'induction kit' to a non-fuel injected engine, although your car's bodyshell is a similar shape to a gti thats where the similarities end, sorry. Your best bet would be to fit a 4age or 4agze.

Immy, welcome, i'm from the UK and also have a '90 Gti. Your only 'proven' route to getting a Turbo 'ge' family engine is to first get a 4agze supercharged engine then junk the supercharger unit in favour of a turbo, a stock 4age like you and i have run way too high compression to entertain a turbo, you need the lower compression head, ceramic pistons and stronger rods all found as stock in the GZE to start with.

i might be converting to a 2E-E, and i gave up on the idea of forced inductions, however, as much as i would want a 4A-GZE, and modified intp a turbo charged, the insurances, lisence, and petrol would out of reach for me :(

(I need a balance between reasonable enjoyable performance, and affordability, i.e. not the extreme of diesel, but neither the extreme of 4A-GE (for now and on this car :P))

not sure what you mean by the 'extreme of a 4age ?' they're hardly extreme apart from the rev range maybe ;)

Mines excedingly economical when i drive properly.

Hey guys, I'm new in this forum and I'm desperate.

I want to supercharge my AE111 Trueno BZ-R 2000 model(4AGE 20Valve) engine. Turbos are far too expensive(see:Blitz) and I wouldnt turbo charge my car without changing the pistons.

Anyone knows if the supercharger of AE92 or AE86 can somehow Fit my engine ? ? ?

Of course I thought about mounting a 2Ltr engine but here in Cyprus the law is clear. No change in Litres of the engine. At most only 15% up or down.

Please NEED HELP.

Ofcourse I'm waiting for hypeRev magazine next week but I would like the opinion of someone who really knows to tell me what to do.
