Anyone Performed An Oil Change On A Petrol Verso ?

Hello All

I have a 2014 Toyota verso 1.6 which is petrol and manual. Although I have the five year warranty and have paid for a service plan for the same period, once the warranty passes I plan to get it mantained by a very good mechanic that I have used before.

He services it once a year while I do an additional oil change after six months. Using this method I got 19 years out of my Ford Mondeo (and could probably have got a lot more too). So I am fanatical about a six month oil change regardless of what a car manufacturer might say.

Obviously I am looking five years ahead but has anyone perfomed an oil change on a petrol version Verso? Was it tricky? Was the oil filter difficult to remove when the car isn't up on a lift?

With my previous Mondeo I found that jacking up the front, placing it on stands and taking a wheel off enabled me to get suficient purchase to remove the oil filter.

I wish Haynes would publish a manual for the 2014 Verso that way I wouldn't have to bother you all.

Best wishes

Ninoson
