Historic Sight British + Canadian Lancaster

Saw them fly over with a Spitfire pure class

About six years ago, the Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flew directly over our road at low level on its return journey from an air show. The sound of the four Merlins was so distinctive, it brought all the neighbours out to see what it was.

A squadron of those flying overhead must have been a fantastic sight and sound, tempered somewhat by the knowledge that some of them, frequently crewed by young lads barely old enough to drive, wouldn't be coming back...

iam lucky to live only about 10 miles from where the BBF is located and i see them multiple times every year.

spitfires are no longer rare to me.....lol

best and most unnerving sight i have seen while fishing on the witham near conningsby was a spitfire that came over low level

Great footage Stu Amongst many others, I contribute to these aircraft to keep them flying. Hoping to see them for real at Prestwick airport .....

been a problem with "vera", she is not flying at bournemouth due to engine problems!
