Hey guys,

This is my first post on the forum so I wanted to make it a post to help others out. Here is how to remove a door panel on a 2001-2005 Toyota RAV4 and fix the common door lock problem.

Let me know what you think!

Welcome to the forum. These Chris Fix videos on YouTube are excellent - there's loads of them and several of relevance to the Rav.

Brilliant -can this be moved to the pinned section?

You would have thought that technology would have got rid of the black gungy stuff and easily torn sheeting .

Thanks man! I work hard to make these videos as helpful, concise, easy to follow, and simple as possible!

Thanks! I was surprised that they didnt have a better insulator but like any other car company, they take shortcuts so that it is cheaper for them.

Thank you very much Mike for your help!

I had to give power straight to the right window motor so as to lift the co driver window that had been down since yesterday evening - I suppose because of the driver side multi switch failure.
