Fuel Line Malfunction

Hello

I have read many threads where people have the same problem as me, but nobody has posted the fix. But I am sure that many people have fix this as some of the threads are a few years old.

I have a 2KD-FTV (2.5 litre d4d diesel) engine in my Hilux. When I am taking off slowly, backing ect and when I suddenly slow down. The check engine light comes on and the vehicle goes in to save mode (does not rev above 1000 rpm). When I turn it of and back on everything is fine.

I get the DTC 78(7) Fuel line malfunction. I know that it can mean fuel pump, suction valve, pressure discharge valve or injectors.

But I really don't want to buy expensive parts if I don't need them.

Is there anyone here that REALLY knows what the problem is? Anyone that has had this same problem and knows the fix. I have read the many threads with the same scenario and codes, but I've never seen the answer. I know it is out there! Thanks!
