Anyone Ever Had Problems

Got my set from Rogue Systems about 4-5 weeks ago, but they wouldn't fit my car (91 G-Ltd import) - spoke to the lads over there, who were more than decent and said they'd refund me.... i told them to hand fire as i may get them sold over here (Northern Ireland) - the lad who i sold them 2 ('95 tubby) said they wouldn't fit his either - apparently one end was well out of line?

just wondering if anyone has had any similar problems, as i really really want to fit these lights, but has already proved to be a b**tard to do, resulting in a scrape in my Kandy respray :censor:

Cheers,

Ross

how would the lights result in a scrape ? You should have been able to see if it was going to scrape the car before it did no ?

Never heard of any issues to date. Jappy just fitted his the other day.

Had lots of stuff from rogue systems with no problems. Maybe you were just unlucky mate.

possibly have been mate... although you would think they were mass produced in someway?

So to get a set which doesn't fit, suprised no one else has had any issues then.

what actually isn't fitting ?

May give us a clue to if it's rev1-> rev3 thing (like having to bash the back of your car to get the rev3's to fit .. ) or if it's a manufacturing defect?

If they are anything like the rev6 lights they should fit any revision easily.

Also... what centre panel are you using ? Is it the stock rev1, 2 one ?? I think you need a rev3 or a Revision 6 one mate.

Maybe that's the issue ?

nah mate - when i was buying the light, the guy sold me Rogue's own wee centre panel - same as the REv3 one - you know, kinda curvy ones but with no lights in the centre...

Jim, when your rev3's were fitted the boot wall needed a hammering ..

Maybe the Lex ones do too?

bought a set of rev 6 clusters for my '91 g-ltd fitted like a glove, i found it easier to fit all together in one piece and then try and fit to the car, tighterning the outsides first then the inside, was a slow job but no problems at all, the only prob i had was me being a muppet with the wiring but patrick soon sorted me out over the phone and all done in about an hour...

if he got the rev6 centre panel, then the car won't need beating in. It should be fine. Only need beaten in if you have a rev1 or 2 and putting in the rev3 centre panel with reverse lights.

My rev6 fit more or less perfect. Will do after I borrow my mates drill. Wiring also stumped me for a few minutes. Sussed it in the end tho.

I had no problems at all and the lights fit very well. The only problem I had was fiddling with the wires behind the lights and making the rev3 panel fit.

You say you tried to squeeze them in? on mine I lined up the pointy side with the body and then clipped the main body into the plasic holders, I then just screwed the pointy end into the body using the holes provided.

Jappy, have u got the original rev 3 rear panel or the rev 6...?

Managed to get Jimlads rev3 panel off him. Didnt really want to lose my reverse lights.

I searched for months trying to get that panel but non of the brakers would split them from the clusters...

Cheers Jimlad.. you saved me!..lol.

Mine,
