After much research on exhausts for the Aygo, I settled on the Fox system as I didn't want anything too loud and wanted exits on each side of the car. Some had exits that came out each side but I preferred the Fox ones as they were the only type I could find that came out each side as far as possible (outside of the tow brackets). Also, being made in Germany and TUV approved, not only would the noise be sensible but build quality would be excellent as well. They are full stainless and the bracketry supplied with it looks well stout.

The supplier (DC performance) doesn't list the system for the Aygo, only the Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1 but I took a punt on it as only the rear bumpers are different.

It all went on really well although the tailpipes were sticking out waaay too far from the back of the bumper. Whether this is because the Aygo bumper is shorter than the 107/C1 or Fox intended it to look that way (or a combination of both) I don't know but IMO it looked awful. Some careful cutting down of both the tailpipes and the pipes that lead into them got it just how I wanted. Nicely tucked up under the bumper and in line with it.

Noise-wise it's no louder than standard on tickover and even up to around 3.5k rpm theres not much in it (slightly deeper note) but wind her up and theres a lovely off-beat 3 pot roar to it. Overall I'm really happy for the £300 cost. Of course, I could have gone the custom stainless route but in my experience the sound and noise output can be tricky to judge prior to it all being built, and most that I have heard are either too loud for me or have a tone which I don't like.

I can thoroughly recommend going for the Fox, although depending on taste you may need to cut the pipes down a little. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics before I did mine so can't show you.

I will try and get some better pics when I get a chance. Oh and they also do a round tailpipe version if thats your preferred bag.

Cheers Raistlin but don't be getting any ideas about me doing more of these!

Little update - I found that the position of the tail pipes was just too high and the flex in the stock rubber hangers so much that it knocked liked crazy on the tow brackets. So the only option was to lower the pipes a little and for good measure I fitter stiffer rubbers. No knocking at all now. While I was under there I decided to take the tails off and spray the insides black as I didn't like the bright stainless. A little other benefit came out of this too - I blowtorched the pipes to burn off any residue/water before spraying (hammerite matt VHT) and afterwards I saw that the tips had gone a nice 'stained' look almost like when stainless gets blued through heat. They would never have done this on the car and I really like it. The little things...!
