Stains On Seat

2011 Auris has white stains on the seats. I think they are water stains, hovered over them alot today and dident go. I want to know why are they there? On my old cars if water got onto the seat nothing would happen, on the Auris, the black seats turn white... Only 34k miles and this is happening. I can take it of with a wet cloth with some elbow grease but are there any products to stop it happening?

With the last model Corolla, the fire retardant used on the seat fabric could cause water to mark the fabric - water drips when the doors were opened were the source of the water staining.

Could try a good quality foam cleaner on the whole seat, and then apply a fabric protector (Scotchgard or similar).
