Poor Yaris Radio Station Pick-Up

I have a 59 plate Yaris 1.4diesel T-Spirit, has climate control etc and the radio is different to the wifes 58 plate 1.4d.

Her radio scans and picks up all the stations I am used to with my previous cars.

The rad in mine is dreadful. Do an auto scan and it picks up about 3 stations, couple BBC and one local one that I dont particularly like.

The local station I do like, I cannot even get on a manual search, just the screech. The wifes pick it up strongly, my previous cars did as well.

The cd works fine on mine, its just it dont seem to be able to get the full sweep of stations available.

Any ideas.?

I keep wondering if the aerial is plug in fully, but how do you get to the back to check it?
