Yaris 1.0, 3rd Gearbox!

Man that sucks. Toyota have really got that stitched up there. Oh well at least you have got your car back on the road. Let's hope that you have better luck with this gearbox.

The whole thing seems bazzar! I'm ashamed to say this but I had a Suzuki Baleno 1.6GS a few years back. I bought it new with 3 years warranty. Now I drove this car like it was stolen. This resulted in..............3 new gearbox's, warped dics and blown headgasket. My car was modified with aftermarket alloys, bodykit, filter, exhaust, all the usual stuff. The warranty picked up everything that happened in the 2 years I had it. No questions asked. The warranty was water tight. The dealer knew I thrashed it but the warranty still held.

I bought a Rover 200Vi (143bhp) after that with 1 years manufacturing warranty after the Baleno. I did exactly the same mod's, 17's, bodykit, filter, exhaust. (looking quite sweet I might add). I blew the headgasket at 38,000miles which was 2000 miles over the warranty limited mileage. Rover fixed it, no questions asked. £900 of engine work in total.

It seems really strange that toyota's warranty are so tight. Maybe the problem lies with the dealer and not toyota?

P.S. Yes I'll admit, I'm very hard on cars! :D
