Blue Tooth Question

I have never had blue tooth before so when I took delivery of my new car last Wednesday, I found six or eight Toyota garage telephone numbers on my screen. Because I don't need them all, I have been searching the screen/programme trying to find a way of deleting all but one of them but because I have never dealt with anything like this (yes I am old!!) I am struggling. Can anyone help please??

Regards,

RonBin

Does your handbook deal with this in the radio section. Mine does.

Hi Joe,

Sorry to say mine doesn't appear to do so. Is yours a '14 manual for a Yaris please?? The only info I have found about bluetooth is on page 110 so am I looking in wrong place please??

Does it show you how to delete phone numbers, it might still be the same procedure??

Of course it could be/probably be a different system but here goes, it simply says:-

Delete Entry - Turn the Audi/Control knob until Delete Entry is displayed and push the knob.

Thats it, job done

If its not the same it just might give a clue of what to try, push/pull/turn etc

OK, thanks for that, I will give it a go and see what happens.

Thanks for your help.

Two different systems mentioned above, on the touch system you need to find the "delete personal information" tab, which I believe is in:

"Setup"

"General" then scroll down, note pressing the button clears all stored phones, radio stations etc and returns the unit to factory settings

  • 1 month later...

I struggled with this problem until my daughter came to see my new possession. I explained that I had never had bluetooth before and didn't know how to delete duplicated and unwanted numbers. No problem she said and Hey Ho!, all my unwanted numbers are gone!. How did she do it? well now that is a problem because she did so quickly I never got chance to absorb and retain. At 82 I shouldn't probably be driving you might say and it takes a lot longer for the brain to take everything in. As far as I can remember, she got the number on the screen, high lit it then pressed a tab and pooof!! it was gone. Just be careful if you are going to try it, I don't want to be blamed for you loosing your contact numbers.....
