First Road Trip In Rav 4 :)

Well I purchased my first Toyota Rav a few weeks ago and had a week off work.

Me and the girlfriend went on a road trip.

Rav4 is a black,1999, 80,000 miles 2000cc 3dr GX model.

We went to Weymouth, cheddar gorge and finally a night in Bath.

Had the Rav 4 serviced before we went and the garage said its a very solid well kept vehicle.

Being my first 4x4 I loved it. Trip to Weymouth was good, but the trip to cheddar gorge was epic. Loads of room for the rock climbing gear and it really looked the part.

The vehicle is so nice to drive.. One of the best vehicles I have owned.

Sounds like you have a cracker , like them in Black . Must say they are handy for throwing any gear in . Love mine for mountain biking ;)

They are pretty awesome.

See from your avatar you have the 5 door. Might drive this one for a year then exchange for a newer 5 door.

Bought mine in 2013, no snow so fingers crossed for this winter..mine has all been a great experience as well. good luck.

Plenty of fun to be had in the snow like looking for the steepest hill ;)

It's a much better experience than the Peugeot 406 I had.

I bought the Peugeot from a small dealer in reading as I was taking the girlfriend for a trip to france and wanted a nice vehicle to go in.

The car was clean, tidy full service history ( apparently ) and low mileage. Paid £2,000 for it.

Got the car back to Newbury fine. Friday headed to the girlfriend who lives in Ringwood and engine light on. Vehicle goes into limp mode. Not a major issue as one of the wastegate solenoid has gone.

Shortly after the clutch collapsed and was a nice £650.00 bill, then the electrics had issues, then the alternator went, then the brake calpers went... By far the worst car I have ever had and bet the salesman was chuckling all the way to the bank.

Paid less for the Rav 4 and so far its amazing and really nice to drive.

I am now Toyota all the way :)

and with regards to the snow, I live out in the sticks. Bring it on :)
